Mayfield Veterinary Practice
Mayfield Vet for veterinary consultations and minor treatments is a new small animal veterinary practice located in the beautiful village of Mayfield, East Sussex. The practice principal is veterinary surgeon Samantha Coe who has 14 years of experience working in small animal practice.
Mayfield Vet offers a veterinary consultation service and minor treatments for cats, dogs, rabbits, birds and caged pets. We offer conventional treatment as in other veterinary practices but we also use herbal medicines where this is appropriate.
We have a wide range of pet accessories and foods for sale in our vet shop on the high street in the Mayfield village. You are welcome to come in and browse in our retail area. If you do not see what you are looking for just ask - we can source many lines of stock, often for next day delivery.

What we offer at Mayfield Vet
- Veterinary consultations and minor treatments are carried out at the Mayfield practice. We provide advice about preventative healthcare for your pets and can help if your pet is unwell. Usually when animals are unwell they do not require surgery but if they do need treatment which we cannot provide on site we are able to refer your pet to a purpose-built veterinary hospital with whom we have an arrangement where they will receive excellent care. We are also able to provide transport for your pet if required.
- Vaccinations, worming and flea control. We ensure that each pet is treated as a unique individual and we will tailor a preventative healthcare regime to meet each animal's specific requirements.
- Herbal treatments. We offer herbal medicines to complement our orthodox veterinary services. Herbal medicines are used either alone or in conjunction with other treatments so that your pet can enjoy maximum benefit from all available therapies.
- Physical therapy. We have a visiting animal chiropractor and soon hope to be joined by a visiting animal osteopath as well.
- Behavioural therapy. We understand how important the bond is between you and your pet. If your pet is showing behavioural signs which are causing you distress we can often help to ease the problems.
- Vet shop. We have an interesting range of pet foods, toys and other equipment available to purchase in our retail area.
- Nurse clinics. Our dedicated nurses run regular clinics. They can clip claws, express anal glands, give nutritional advice or behavioural advice and generally help to keep your pet happy and healthy.
- House visits. We will make house visits where required.
Surgical Procedures
We will soon be offering surgical procedures so please check the availability of these services.
